Words you can use when the conversation gets hard
You do not have to argue. You can ask for written facts, take time, and make a quiet decision.
- You do not need to decide today.
- You can ask for written documents.
- You can protect the relationship and still say no.
- A serious opportunity can survive a pause.
Income disclosure means a document showing what people typically earn. Compensation plan means the rules for how participants are paid. Net income means money left after expenses.
Ask for the income disclosure
Can you send me the current income disclosure and compensation plan? I want to review the written numbers before I decide.
Ask about net income
Does this show net income after expenses, or gross payments before expenses? I need to understand what typical new participants keep.
Pause a same-day decision
I do not make money decisions during a meeting. I am going to read the documents and think about it.
Decline pressure to contact friends
I am not comfortable contacting friends or family about this unless I fully understand the costs and typical outcomes first.
Ask about expenses
Can you list every first-year cost that is required, optional, or commonly expected? Please include product, events, subscriptions, tools, licensing, and travel.
Ask about leaving
Before I pay anything, can you send me the cancellation, refund, subscription, and inventory return rules?
Protect the relationship
I care about you, and I am glad this is meaningful to you. I still need to make my own decision based on the written disclosures.
Say no clearly
I read the materials and I am going to pass. I wish you well, but I do not want follow-up messages about joining.
