Mary Kay source-link repair. Replaced a broken Mary Kay Canada 2025 earnings-disclosure PDF link with Mary Kay Canada’s current official PDF URL for the same 2025 Statement of Typical Participant Earnings. Re-verified the document title, year, and key figures before updating the citation access date. No published Mary Kay figure or page conclusion changed.
Panic-path earnings visibility. Added each company’s own headline earnings figure to its “someone pitched me” checklist, near the top of the page, so the number from the company’s own disclosure is visible without clicking through. This is the same already-sourced figure already shown on that company’s company and income-disclosure pages. No published figure changed.
Usability pass. Company pages now show each company’s own disclosure facts table and lead with cost, earnings, and public record before the related-pages list. Company index cards show each company’s own disclosure finding instead of a repeated description. Reduced repeated reassurance blocks on the “someone pitched me,” “start here,” before-you-pay, and phrase pages without removing any links. Added usage examples and cross-links to glossary terms. No published figure changed.
Clarified language and method. Softened a meta description that read “FTC-grounded” to “based on FTC guidance,” so it cannot be misread as an endorsement. Added a “which companies and questions we feature” note to the methodology: featured items are chosen by reader demand and to span different pay structures, not to single any company out, and the full company list stays alphabetical with one shared template.
Regulator-review pass. Added a sitewide note that the project is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any government agency or any company described here, and added an “independence and funding” section to the About page (no company money, no paid placement, no ads or lead sales, not a law firm). Added the FTC’s April 24, 2020 warning letter to the doTERRA public-record section, so it matches how the It Works! and Plexus pages already note that round of warning letters; the letter is described as a staff caution, not a court finding. Added a plain “general information, not legal advice” line to the cancellation/refund-letter and dispute-and-report pages. No published income figure changed.
Correction and source-quality pass. Re-verified the Young Living figures against the primary document — the Young Living 2024 U.S. Income Disclosure Statement (dated March 1, 2024, reporting Calendar Year 2023 data). The figures (about a $13 median for all Brand Partners, 68% in the lowest rank, gross before expenses) were confirmed unchanged; we repointed the citation from a deep PDF whose host path looked non-U.S. to Young Living’s official U.S. income-disclosure page so the source is easier to verify. Added the It Works!/Zinzino 2026 merger note to the It Works! reading guide so it matches the company page, with the merger announcement cited. Removed an interpretive phrase (“an average lifted by top earners”) from the It Works! headline and a similar phrase from the LuLaRoe disclosure list, because the cited disclosures report the figures without stating that conclusion. No published figure changed.
Made the site easier to find and quote. Company pages now carry FAQ structured data and a calm “is this a pyramid scheme?” section that answers the question people search without applying a label. Income-disclosure titles show the data year and headline figure. Added a “real customers and retail sales” explainer plus glossary terms, richer glossary structured data, and links from the earnings questions to real company disclosures. None of this adds tracking, ads, or forms.
Completed a company-page factual and timeliness refresh after the company-page style pass. Updated current disclosures for Amway, Herbalife, Primerica, OPTAVIA, Young Living, doTERRA, MONAT, Color Street, Plexus, LuLaRoe, and Scentsy where newer or moved source material was found, and confirmed that several remaining pages still rely on the most recent public materials we could locate.
Refreshed the Nu Skin company and income-disclosure pages with Nu Skin’s 2025 U.S. Brand Affiliate Sales Compensation Summary, replacing older 2017-summary language and clarifying the Active Brand Affiliate, total Brand Affiliate, payment-rate, and before-expenses limitations.
Improved how answer tools can read the site. Sourced pages now expose citation metadata. The question library is grouped by reader intent. Some checklist pages now include FAQ schema for answers already shown on the page. Major index pages also have sitemap review dates.
Added more prominent reader-protection paths across the homepage, pitch pages, company pages, disclosure guides, phrase pages, and already-joined/leaving guides. The update adds short “if you only have a few minutes” summaries, clearer written-document requests, common cost reminders, pressure-response links, and no-shame next steps for readers who already paid or joined.
Added three cross-company income-disclosure reference pages: median vs. average, who is counted, and expenses not included. Each page reuses the existing company disclosure data and links back to the company guide for source notes and access dates.
Added direct links to public reporting resources — the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov and a way to find your state attorney general’s office — on the “I want to leave an MLM” and “Already joined?” pages, so readers who choose to report a problem have a clear next step. Reporting stays optional. A build check was also added so the site’s non-accusatory language standard is enforced automatically.
Added a custom 404 page, a cross-company income-disclosure reference table, honest sitemap review dates for hand-built pages, and this public updates log. The corrections policy was also clarified to state the correction email plainly and link to this log.
